The World Maitreya Karuna Foundation
The World Maitreya Karuna Foundation (WMKF) was inaugurated by Geshe Tenzin Demchok in 2002 and has since received the blessings of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama to move forward in the effort to preserve endangered cultures worldwide. The main branches of this foundation are located in India, USA, Japan and now Australia with the creation of the World Maitreya Karuna Foundation Australia (WMKFA). Geshe Tenzin Demchok is the president of this foundation worldwide.
This WMKF heads itself towards achieving several goals. One of the major aims of this foundation is to promote world peace by bringing people of different religions together to form a common platform for traditions and morals. We look to bring the whole religious world together in one unity. We wish to preserve cultural heritage, endangered cultures and moral values. This foundation also shares their interest in helping the poor Tibetan monks in the Karnataka State of India who are newly arrived from Tibet.
The WMKF has shown a sincere progress in getting recognition across the world. People of any society and culture are wholeheartedly invited to bring about positive change amongst themselves and around the world.
The World Maitreya Karuna Foundation Australia (WMKFA) has been set up as the official foundation and office in Australia for the international WMKF.
